BLESSINGS 2 // CTR
Post-Europe trip and I struggled to construe the laconic diction, syntax, and tone to encapsulate the two weeks that gave a bevy of tangible and intangible memorabilia. It was an amalgam of perennial excitement, unsuppressed tacky tourist moments, and capricious adventures.
Growth is a common output of traveling.
Awakenings and reassurances are in that same category.
This penchant to be independent increased as I sat in a French cafe in Provence where the weather was mercurial and my feet betrayed me through the cobblestone ground. The typical high school absurdities became insipid and superfluous; they eroded in vigor even when I returned to my microcosmic college home town. This Europe trip could be lived vicariously through Solange's A Seat in the Table (if only it was released at that time); transcending and empowering while deconstructing the shibboleths that used to bother me.

"Podrán cortar todas las flores,
pero no podrán detener la primavera."
- Pablo Neruda
